The higher anti-corruption court extended until August 5 the term of the duties assigned to People's Deputy Anatoliy Gunko, whom the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office accuses of receiving $85,000 in illegal benefits.
On June 7, the VAKS decided to extend the validity of the obligations regarding Hunko, who was previously taken into custody with the possibility of making bail in the amount of UAH 30 million. Later, the bail was reduced to UAH 10 million, and the people's deputy was released from custody. A number of duties were imposed on him: to arrive at each summons to the court, to inform about a change of place of residence and work, to refrain from communication with the witness and to deposit foreign passports. The prosecutor of the SAP again asked to extend the duties.
"The request of the prosecutor to extend the period of validity of the duties assigned to the accused shall be granted. To extend for two months the period of validity of the duties assigned to the accused. Set the term of office until August 5, 2024, inclusive," the decision reads.
The SAP sent an indictment to the court against People's Deputy Anatoliy Hunek and his assistant. According to the indictment, Gunko, in collusion with his assistant Igor Kalinichenko and another accomplice, Volodymyr Ivasyk, demanded and received an unlawful benefit from the representative of the agricultural enterprise Agroform-2019 LLC.
The money was received for the provision of state lands for cultivation. These lands belong to the research farms of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, in particular, the "Tuchynske" farm, which is located in the village of Tuchyn, Rivne region. According to the prosecutor, it was necessary to pay 130 dollars for each hectare of land. The total amount of ill-gotten gains was $221,000, of which $85,000 was transferred as a deposit, and the rest was planned to be transferred after the harvest.
