The Supreme Administrative Justice Commission (SACJ) of Ukraine decided to satisfy the application of Nazar Prykhodyk regarding the investigation of possible illegal enrichment of Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the head of the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo". This decision concerns the verification of the legality of the purchase of a plot of land and a house in Kyiv in 2022, which belong to Kudrytskyi and his family.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) passed a decision obliging the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) to initiate criminal proceedings regarding the possible illegal enrichment of Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the head of NEC "Ukrenergo".
This is reported by blogger, volunteer and expert of the Center for Foreign Policy Studies Nazar Prykhodko in a blog on Gordon.UA, attaching a copy of the court decision from July 17.
According to the report, VAKS satisfied Pryhodko's application, which was related to the verification of the legality of the purchase of land and a house in Kyiv by Kudrytskyi and his family in 2022. The volunteer claims that these assets could have been purchased with funds obtained illegally, in particular through embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the purchase of body armor.
Prykhodko reminds that on June 26, the SBU and NABU detained Serhii Totskyi, head of the Ukrenergo Security Department, who is suspected of embezzling 10 million hryvnias during the purchase of body armor in the spring of 2022. The blogger also draws attention to Totsky's connections with the former deputy head of the SBU, Volodymyr Totsky, who was one of the organizers of violent actions against protesters during the Maidan and fled to Russia in 2014.
According to Pryhodek, Serhii Totskyi was directly subordinated to Kudrytskyi, and his activities could not take place without the consent and support of the management. The volunteer suspects that the case with the bulletproof vests is related to Kudrytsky's subsequent acquisition of real estate.
"I don't believe in coincidences. And VAX does not seem to believe either. Because he made a decision obliging the NABU to open criminal proceedings based on my statement on the facts of the commission of crimes by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chairman of the board of NEC Ukrenergo, provided for by articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: 209 (legalization (laundering) of property obtained through criminal means); 364 (abuse of power or official position); 368 (illegal enrichment) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," concluded Nazar Prykhodko.
We will remind, Kudrytskyi admitted that his salary is UAH 420,000. after taxes. Against the background of the fact that the salary of ordinary energy workers in the state-owned company is UAH 15-20 thousand, the NEK board has turned itself into an upper caste that receives millions during a full-scale war. According to the reports of the board of Ukrenergo, in 2023 its maintenance cost the state 29.2 million UAH.
In particular, for 4 months of 2024, the remuneration of the board of "Ukrenergo" amounted to more than UAH 16.5 million. In addition to Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the board includes three other members: Oleksiy Brecht, Serhiy Galagan, and Oleg Skrypnyk. Last month, these figures divided UAH 8.534 million into four. And this is despite the fact that the last audit of the company by the State Audit Service revealed abuses of UAH 68 billion at NEC Ukrenergo, including embezzlement of funds for the purchase of body armor and the supply of electricity without payment to Kolomoisky's company.
Journalist Serhii Lyamets, having obtained screenshots of corporate documents of the National Economic Complex "Ukrenergo", found out that it was Kudrytskyi who supervised the security department, the head of which was charged with purchasing bulletproof vests at inflated prices. Therefore, it is logical that the agreement must have been approved by the head of Ukrenergo.
