The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court (WAKS) has in absentia chose a pre -trial detention measure for the former deputy of the Kyiv City Council Alice Sobol. She is suspected of involvement in the corruption land scheme in the capital.
The relevant decision was made on March 24, 2025. The defense filed an appeal, but on April 16, the WACS Appellate Chamber left a measure of restraint.
"The appeals of the defenders to leave without satisfaction, and the decision of the investigating judge of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court of March 24, 2025 - unchanged," the official decision stated. It is also emphasized that the resolution enters into force from the moment of proclamation and is not subject to further appeal.
Alice Sobol's case is considered in the framework of large -scale proceedings on theft and illegal alienation of land in Kiev. According to the investigation, it could have been involved in making decisions that contributed to the fraud with land, which caused the damage to the community of the city.
As of today, Alice Sobol is hiding outside Ukraine, which has become the basis for correspondence arrest.
