The former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, returned to public life after a long break, sharing with his supporters a photo in which he is depicted with his wife, Olena. The photo was published on his Facebook page with the caption: "Ukraine is charming."
The post quickly garnered thousands of likes and positive comments from Ukrainians, some of whom wished him a happy birthday, which he celebrates on July 8.
After his resignation, Zaluzhny disappeared from public space. However, it recently became known that on July 10 he will become the ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, as reported by the mass media with reference to sources in diplomatic circles.
We will remind that Kuleba answered whether Zaluzhny had started working as an ambassador in Britain. To date, the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi continues his training for work as an ambassador to Great Britain.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, told about this in an interview with "Ukrinform". Dmytro Kuleba added that he understands the increased interest in this topic, but reminded that "all ambassadors are evaluated in the same way: by results."
We also wrote about what was said in Britain about whether Zaluzhny, as an ambassador, could convince London to send troops to Ukraine. As Glen Grant emphasized, the role of General Valery Zaluzhnyi will be that of an ambassador, not a glorious defense attaché. At the same time, he added that the society should understand that in reality the role of the ambassador is much more complicated.
According to him, the current British government is determined to provide assistance to Ukraine in all aspects, but this does not apply to the deployment of troops. Glen Grant expressed doubt that Zaluzhny would be able to somehow influence official London in this matter. At the same time, he believes that the primary task of the general will be the preservation and strengthening of the relations that already exist between Ukraine and Britain.
