Australian scientists have established a critical border of coffee consumption, the excess of which can adversely affect the health of the heart. According to a large-scale study of the University of South Australia, the risk of cardiovascular disease increases significantly in those who drink more than six cups of coffee a day.
The study was attended by more than 347 thousand people aged 37 to 73 years. Scientists compare the habits of coffee consumption with the indicators of the cardiovascular system.
The results showed: in those who exceed the mark in six cups of coffee daily, the risk of heart disease increases by 22%. Excessive caffeine consumption can lead to increased pressure, heart rate disorders and other complications.
At the same time, moderate coffee (1-2 cups per day) is not only safe, but can also have a positive impact - in particular, improving cognitive functions, metabolism and mood.
Researchers emphasize that it is important to keep a balance, especially for people with chronic diseases or caffeine sensitivity. If there is a heartbeat or pressure, it is worth reducing the dose or switching to a barbein.
