Scientists from Ukraine presented a submachine gun developed during the Second World War

The National Museum-Reserve of Ukrainian Military Achievements presented an image of the PPS-43, a submachine gun that was developed in 1942 and used by Soviet forces during World War II.

Information about this military invention was published on the official page of the museum-reserve in the Facebook social network. It is noted that PPS-43 is made of sheet steel and is equipped with automation with the removal of powder gases.

Some interesting facts about the PPS-43 include its armament of the 7.62 mm Tokarev cartridge, a rate of fire of 600 rounds per minute, an effective firing range of up to 200 meters, and a light weight of only 3.6 kg with magazine and cartridges. This submachine gun was popular among Soviet soldiers due to its compactness and ease of use, as well as the ability to fire from both the right and left shoulder.
