We all have at least rolled in short videos with cute kittens or playful puppies. But few people think that such a habit can have a real positive impact on health. Scientists at Lids University in the United Kingdom have shown that watching such videos helps to reduce anxiety and normalize blood pressure.
The study was attended by volunteers who showed a selection of video and photos with cute animals - in particular, small gorles, kittens and dogs. Then the participants underwent a questionnaire and a medical examination.
The results were striking: on average, the level of anxiety decreased by 35%, and blood pressure in many approached the normal. Interestingly, the best effect was those videos where animals interacted with humans - for example, when the dog jumps into the arms of the owner or kitten.
The authors of the study did not hide that they themselves enjoyed participating in the experiment. And they even suggested that regular viewing of videos with animals can be used as a simple and affordable way to improve the emotional state.
So if you are tired, annoyed or just want to rest - turn on a video with cute animals. Not only will it be uplifting, but it can really improve your well -being.
