Unusually warm weather is expected on the territory of Ukraine this week, but precipitation is possible in places. Weather forecaster Ihor Kibalchich reports this, writes "Meteoprog". According to his forecast, cyclonic activity is developing over the center and west of Europe, which causes the predominance of air flows in the south and southeast directions.
"Due to this atmospheric circulation, warm air from Turkey and the Balkan Peninsula will begin to flow into Ukraine," explained Kibalchich. This is expected to bring abnormally high temperatures for the end of September.
Forecast for the coming days:
- September 23: Changeable cloudiness throughout the country, without significant precipitation. The daytime temperature will be +23...+29 °С, it will be cooler in the Carpathians and the far north - from +18 to +23 °С.
- September 24: Due to the influence of an anticyclone, the weather will remain warm and dry on Tuesday. The wind will be moderate - 5-10 m/s. At night, the temperature will fluctuate between +7...+12 °С, in the south of the country - up to +17 °С. During the day, the air will warm up to +24...+29 °С, in the Carpathians it will remain cooler - from +18 to +23 °С.
- September 25: On Wednesday, rains are possible in the west of Ukraine, as well as in places in the Azov region. In the Carpathians and Transcarpathia, heavy precipitation is likely at night. The southeast wind will increase to 7-12 m/s. The temperature will decrease: at night - +10...+15 °C, in the northeast - +5...+10 °C, and during the day - up to +21...+26 °C, in the western regions in some places - up to +16...+21 °C .
How will a warm September affect winter?
Natalya Ptukha from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center warns that a warm September is not a guarantee of a mild winter. According to her, although climate change leads to record temperatures, this does not mean that winter will be without frost. Cold days will probably be less frequent, but they will still happen.
The expected abnormally warm days are another reminder of climate change, which is increasingly affecting the usual weather conditions in Ukraine.
