The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may consider a resolution on the recall of People's Deputy Maryana Bezugla from the position of deputy head of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. The corresponding draft resolution No. 10391 has already been registered and published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The decision to recall Bezuglai from the position has already been considered by the Committee on Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada. As People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported, the decision was made unanimously, and now on January 10, the issue can be considered at the plenary session.
The initiators of the resolution were 11 people's deputies, and the project itself appeared on the website of the Verkhovna Rada on January 6. The resolution reads: "Following the provisions of Article 83 of the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada and Article 7 of the Law "On Committees of the Verkhovna Rada", it is proposed to recall People's Deputy Maryana Volodymyrivna Bezugla from the post of deputy head of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence."
It should be noted that Maryana Bezugla got into the center of a scandal because of her statements about the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. On her Facebook, she called on him to resign, claiming that he had not provided any action plan for 2024. The current scandal may lead to the removal of Bezugla from her position in the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
