The working group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided on a significant increase in the military levy, which will now amount to 5%. This decision is part of the draft law on increasing taxes, which also provides for the introduction of a fee for individual entrepreneurs (PPOs).
Thus, it was agreed to increase the military levy on the income of Ukrainians from 1.5% to 5%.
According to the calculations of the Ministry of Finance, this increase will make it possible to attract UAH 27.3 billion to the budget in 2024, and UAH 107.7 billion in 2025.
In addition, a fee of 1% will be introduced for FOPs of the third group. This will give the budget 5.9 billion UAH. The military levy for legal entities on the single tax of the third group was removed.
The military levy will be directed through a special fund exclusively for the financing of the Armed Forces.
