The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to extend the martial law regime and general mobilization in the country until May 9, 2025. People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on his Telegram page.
He notes that 315 people's deputies voted for the presidential bill on the approval of the decree of the President of Ukraine "On the extension of martial law in Ukraine" (registration number 12404).
It extended the martial law regime from February 8, 2025 to May 9, 2025.
The Verkhovna Rada also supported the presidential draft law on the approval of the decree of the President of Ukraine "On the extension of the general mobilization period" (registration number 12405).
According to People's Deputy of Ukraine Zheleznyak, 310 People's Deputies voted for him. He extended the period of mobilization from February 8 to May 9, 2025.
As we reported, yesterday, January 14, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws on the extension of mobilization and martial law for another 90 days.
This is the 14th vote for martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
Last time, the parliament extended martial law and general mobilization in November 2024 - until February 7, 2025.
