The Verkhovna Rada revealed plans to solve the problem of "Khrushchev" and outdated housing

The Ukrainian Parliament is studying the European experience to solve the problem of the outdated housing stock, focusing on small-scale "Khrushchevka" and other types of housing. The news was announced by Olena Shulyak, head of the "Servant of the People" party and deputy.

In 2021, draft law No. 6458 aimed at the reconstruction of outdated housing of various types of buildings was registered. However, this attempt was not so successful due to the interference of other priorities.

"Many countries of the world are faced with the problem of outdated housing stock. The choice of models and mechanisms depends on the level of economic development and social orientation of the country," Shulyak said.

In the European Union, there is a program for the liquidation of uninhabitable buildings, which is accompanied by subsidies for their demolition and reconstruction without evicting the residents.

Ukraine can use different approaches, such as superstructures, renovation without eviction and modernization of buildings for energy savings. This will be part of the new housing policy, which will be based on the experience of the European Union.

The Ukrainian Parliament is considering the possibility of using European experience in solving the problem of the outdated housing stock, in particular, in relation to small-scale "Khrushchev" and other objects. People's deputy from the "Servant of the People" party Olena Shulyak reported this.

The last attempt to solve this problem in Ukraine was draft law No. 6458, which was registered in 2021. However, according to Shuliak, he did not receive enough support due to other important tasks.

"Many countries face the problem of outdated housing stock, and the solution to this problem depends on many factors, including the country's level of development and its social policy," Shulyak said.

In the countries of the European Union, there is a program for the elimination of uninhabitable buildings, which is accompanied by subsidies for their demolition and reconstruction without evicting the residents.

Ukraine is considering various options to solve the problem, including additions, reconstruction without eviction, and modernization of buildings to improve energy efficiency. This will become part of the new housing policy, which will be based on the experience of the countries of the European Union.
