The Supreme Court of Ukraine adopted a final decision in a case concerning a contractor, which, instead of using the budget for the construction of the subway for the Vynohradar, decided to place them on the deposit. The court ruled that the contractor should return more than UAH 139 million, received as interest from the deposit, to the capital of the capital.
The Supreme Court put an end to the case on a lawsuit of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office for recovery of more than UAH 139 million from a company that was to build a metro from a cheese to Vynohradar, but instead put money for deposit
According to information, budget money was placed in deposit accounts, the capital prosecutor's office in 2021 appealed to the court to recover the interest received interest in the amount of more than UAH 139 million in favor of the capital community.
The case has been considered by the courts repeatedly. In 2024, the Commercial Court of Kyiv and the Northern Appeal Court of Appeal satisfied the claim.
However, the contractor tried to challenge the decision in the Supreme Court, which left him unchanged.
Thus, the final court decision provides for the recovery of UAH 139 million in favor of the Kiev community.
