During the Kyiv International Forum on Cyber Resilience 2026, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation with the SHERIFF Cyber Academy . The CyberBee project provides for training the first two thousand participants. The ministry reported this.
The initiative aims to combine cybersecurity training according to international standards with real employment opportunities. The priority category is people with disabilities of groups I and II, for whom cyberspace is considered one of the most accessible and promising areas of employment due to the high demand for specialists and the absence of physical barriers.
The Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine , Denys Ulyutin, noted that there are more than 1.7 million people with disabilities of groups I and II in the country. According to him, the development of digital professions can become a path for them to financial independence, social integration and the transition from receiving social benefits to active participation in the economy.
The first 36 participants, including veterans with complex amputations, are already undergoing training as part of the pilot project "Cyber Regiment SHERIFF." The project is being implemented as a practical mechanism for professional retraining with subsequent integration into the labor market.
SHERIFF Holding Dmytro Strizhov, emphasized that the initiative is an investment in human capital. According to him, there is already a shortage of cybersecurity specialists in Ukraine, and the project is designed to combine the social responsibility of business with the needs of the market and strengthening the digital resilience of the state.
The training will last from 9 to 12 months. The program provides practical specialization and preparation for international certification, as well as mastering the areas of SOC, Incident Response and Defensive Security. Participants will have access to adapted training formats taking into account the principles of accessibility and universal design.
In addition to the educational component, the project provides methodological support, consultations on choosing a specialization, assistance in preparing a resume, conducting interviews, and support during the employment stage. Special attention is paid to cooperation with employers and creating conditions for long-term professional development.
