Starting today, more than 40 more auto-fixing systems for traffic violations will be operational in Ukraine

From August 26, 2024, 43 new complexes of auto-fixation of violations of traffic rules will appear on Ukrainian roads. This will increase the total number of such complexes to 308. With the new devices, the authorities hope to improve traffic control and reduce the number of traffic accidents.

What violations will be fixed by the new complexes?

Among the new complexes, 42 will record exceeding the established speed limits. One complex in the city of Bila Tserkva will monitor not only speeding, but also violations of traffic rules and stopping on the lane for route vehicles.

Penalties for speeding

According to Ukrainian legislation, fines for speeding are as follows:

• For exceeding the speed by more than 20 km/h — 340 hryvnias.
• For exceeding the speed by more than 50 km/h — 1,700 hryvnias.
