Deputy Chairman of the National Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee Chernev made a statement that updating the personal data of citizens within 60 days from the date of entry into force of the law on mobilization will be not only a right, but also a duty of every citizen.
This initiative is aimed at increasing the state's preparedness in defense and threats to national security. Updating the personal data of citizens will allow the government to keep up-to-date and complete information about the country's population, which is a key aspect of the effective implementation of mobilization and defense measures.
According to the law, citizens will be obliged to make the necessary changes to their personal data within 60 days from the moment the law comes into force. Failure to comply with this obligation may entail liability in accordance with the laws of the country.
All conscripts must register and perform their military duty, he emphasized.
He also reported that three options for restrictions are currently being discussed for "evaders": a temporary ban on traveling abroad, a temporary restriction on the right to drive vehicles, and the blocking of bank accounts. The Committee did not support the last option.
