A conscript from the Cherkasy region was sentenced to three years in prison for evading conscription for military service during mobilization. This is reported by "Glavkom" with reference to the data of the court register.
According to the case file, in March 2023, the accused passed the military medical commission, which found him fit for service. After that, the representatives of the TCC wanted to hand the man a "combat" summons, which included sending him to the army. However, he did not take it and did not appear on the specified date.
In court, the accused partially pleaded guilty. He explained that he considers himself unfit for military service due to his health, which is confirmed by the first conclusion of the LKK. Instead, the man considers the second conclusion of the LCC to be falsified, because the doctor diagnosed him under pressure, without taking into account the results of the medical examinations.
The conscript reported that he has been suffering from mestamponitis (a chronic inflammatory process in the middle ear) since he was 28 years old and provided relevant hospital discharges. However, in the final conclusion of the LKK it is stated that his hearing (attention!) has improved.
In addition, in court, the accused doubted the legality of the functioning of the district territorial centers of recruitment and social support, saying that there is no information about these institutions in the Unified Register. He also called contract military service "slavery".
Another man expressed skepticism about the introduction of martial law in the country, since, in his opinion, during martial law, everyone without exception should be drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces, and currently they are drafted selectively. He explained that he does not understand why healthy people should die, adding that he "has nothing to fight for in the Donetsk region."
