According to information from our source in the President's office, Bankova considers a new mechanism for supporting servicemen by increasing monthly payments to UAH 200 thousand. This step should be the answer to the problem of the HCP (unauthorized leaving of the part) and increased motivation of the military.
In the first months of the war, when the country faced the biggest challenges, financial support itself became one of the key factors for the involvement of volunteers in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. High payments made it possible to compensate for the risks and losses that were expected to the military, as well as they became support for their families.
However, as the source notes, in two years the situation has changed:
- Inflation has depreciated the real value of payments.
- The growth of prices for goods, services and housing has complicated the financial situation of the families of the military.
- HSCs and moral and psychological problems began to gain momentum.
What is planned?
The new plan, which is actively discussed in the OP, provides for an increase in payments for the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine up to 200 thousand hryvnias on a monthly basis. This should be both a motivational factor and an important economic solution that will support those who are on the forefront.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may announce this initiative in early March. However, specific terms will depend on the course of the war and the results of negotiations with partners. If the negotiations are delayed and the situation on the front is exacerbated, the launch of new payments will be necessary.
