Volunteer Vlad Makhovsky reported on the critical situation in the Pokrovsky direction, where Russian troops are approaching the city. Because of this, the evacuation of local residents, including children, began in Pokrovsk and neighboring settlements. As a result of shelling and attacks by Russian troops, the city and its surroundings became extremely dangerous.
The situation in the region
According to Makhovsky, shelling and bombing lead to serious consequences for local residents. Russian rockets and artillery shells are already hitting the cities, adding anxiety to an already tense situation. It is noted that the evacuation is mainly aimed at children, but other residents who remain are also at risk.
Makhovsky informed the "Espresso" TV channel that the evacuation situation is extremely difficult. Part of the settlements, such as Grodivka and Novogrodivka, which are located very close to the front line, become impregnable due to active hostilities. This makes access to these areas difficult for rescuers and humanitarian services.
According to the volunteer, FPV drones are actively used on the Donetsk highway leading to Pokrovsk and neighboring cities, which increases the risks for transport and especially for humanitarian cargo. Makhovsky noted that he recently visited Toretsk, where the situation is very dangerous due to the proximity to the positions of the occupiers and active drone attacks.
Assessment of the situation
The lieutenant of the Armed Forces, commenting on the situation, noted that everything is "very sad" in the Pokrovsky direction. He emphasized the need to soberly assess the situation and prepare for possible further complications. The situation in the region is extremely critical, and every day can bring new challenges for local residents and humanitarian services.
The situation now remains tense and further steps to evacuate and ensure the safety of civilians are important tasks for all services involved.
