Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, head of the operational-strategic group of troops “Khortytsia”, announced attempts by the Russian armed forces to break through the defense in the Chasovy Yar area. He reported this during his visit to military units located in the Bakhmut direction. According to the general, the enemy is resorting to local actions using small assault groups, which are trying to break through the defense under the cover of drones and artillery.
Syrsky also noted the widespread use of kamikaze drones and electronic warfare by Russian forces. He stressed that the situation is tense and requires constant control and operational decisions on the ground.
During a meeting with brigade and unit commanders, Syrsky discussed the enemy's likely tactics and options for further development of hostilities. They jointly planned scenarios for repelling the aggressor and preventing his advance.
After analyzing the situation in the Bakhmut direction, Colonel General Syrsky made a number of decisions, including concentrating the main forces in the most threatening directions and using maneuverable firepower.
One of the main priorities remains preserving the lives of military personnel and minimizing losses, which was emphasized by the commander during a meeting with the command staff.
Oleksandr Syrsky also visited the front line and presented awards to Ukrainian defenders.
