Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the head of the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, announced the attempts of the Russian armed forces to break through the defenses in the Chasovoy Yar region. He informed about this during his visit to the military units located in the Bakhmut direction. According to the general, the enemy is resorting to local actions using small assault groups, which are trying to break through the defense under the cover of drones and artillery.
Syrskyi also noted the widespread use of kamikaze drones and electronic warfare equipment by Russian troops. He emphasized that the situation is tense and requires constant control and operational decisions on the ground.
During a meeting with commanders of brigades and units, Sirskyi discussed the likely tactics of the enemy's actions and options for the further development of hostilities. They jointly planned scenarios for repelling the aggressor and preventing his advance.
After analyzing the situation in the Bakhmut direction, Colonel-General Sirskyi made a number of decisions, including the concentration of the main forces on the most threatening directions and the use of maneuverable fire means.
One of the main priorities remains the preservation of military life and the minimization of losses, which was emphasized by the commander during the meeting with the command staff.
Oleksandr Syrskyi also visited the front line and presented awards to Ukrainian defenders.
