The Ukrainian military has achieved some success in tactical operations in the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions. The Russian occupiers continue to try to advance towards the city of Chasiv Yar and west of Avdiivka, in particular in the Berdychi area.
According to the report, on April 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) achieved successes in the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions. Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, noted that the military made significant tactical achievements in these directions. According to information from the General Staff of the AFU, Ukrainian forces repelled attacks by Russian troops near Terni (west of Kreminna) and Bilogorivka (south of Kreminna), despite claims by Russian sources about the advancement of their troops.
Regarding Donetsk region, on April 6, Russian Federation (RF) troops continued to attempt to advance west of Bakhmut towards the settlement of Chasiv Yar, but no officially confirmed changes in the front line were recorded.
Russian sources reported that Russian troops, including units of the 98th Airborne Division, were continuing attacks to the northeast and southeast of Chasiv Yar, and were also attempting to seize positions in the forest areas near the railway to the east and in the Stupki-Golubovskiy 2 reserve to the southeast. However, experts were unable to confirm these reports.
In the direction of Avdiivka, Russian troops are advancing westward, attacking positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Some sources claim that they are trying to clear the forests between the settlements of Tonenke and Vodiane. However, official data on this has not yet been confirmed.
Armed clashes also continue in other areas, including the regions south, north, and west of Bakhmut, as well as in eastern Kherson Oblast. Russian forces are trying to take control of various territories, but Ukrainian forces remain on guard.
