The notorious ex-deputy minister of defense Rostyslav Zamlynskyi was appointed the first deputy head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine. Zamlynskyi is known for agreeing contracts of the Ministry of Defense for the purchase of eggs for UAH 17 , as well as mortar rounds and other weapons for UAH 1.3 billion from the Lviv Arsenal company. The latter case is still being investigated by NABU.
A number of activists have already responded to the appointment. In particular, the head of the Anti-corruption Center Vitaliy Shabunin noted that if earlier it was possible to assume that "Fedorov was thrown out of the procurement of drones in order to steal 50 billion UAH of DSSZZI, now it can already be confirmed."
"Now 50 billion UAH will be spent on drones by Zamlynskyi, who covered up corruption in Reznikov's purchases and supported the latter's policy not to buy drones. I understand that Zelenskyi/Yermak believe that Zamlynskyi will handle the drone issue better than Fedorov," Shabunin noted.
It will be recalled that on November 15, the government dismissed from his post the head of the State Security Service Yuriy Mironenko, who headed the department after the scandalous detention of the previous head of the State Special Intelligence Service, Yuriy Shchygol. The latter is suspected of creating a corruption scheme when purchasing software and taking possession of 62 million hryvnias. Also, on the same day, Oleksandr Potiy, the deputy head of the State Security Service of Ukraine, was dismissed.
