Fulfillment of obligations by Ukraine in the field of health care within the framework of the Agreement with the EU reached 78%

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has successfully fulfilled 78% of the obligations stipulated by the Association Agreement with the European Union in the field of health care. According to information published on the department's official website and in the information and analytical system for monitoring the implementation of the agreement "Pulse of the Agreement", during the fourth quarter of 2023, the Ministry of Health made significant progress, increasing the indicator by 3% compared to the previous period, when it was 75%.

As part of this achievement, a number of European healthcare integration standards were successfully implemented in the fourth quarter of 2023. These standards include the regulation of blood safety measures and its components, control over the influence of chemical and biological agents on health care workers, as well as establishing requirements for plastic products that come into contact with food products.

The Ministry of Health also reminds that in February 2024, the European Commission started the official process of checking Ukrainian legislation within the framework of association with the EU.
