Ukraine is experiencing a serious imbalance in the labor market - the country lacks specialists in critical industries. The Ministry of Education and Science has defined a list of specialties that are priority in the context of state restoration. This was stated by Deputy Minister Mykhailo Vinnytsky on the air of Ukrainian radio.
According to Vinnytsky, the primary need is specialists who work with people:
-
Doctors of different profiles
-
Teachers at all levels of education
-
Rehabilitologists and therapists to help the population recover from injury and stress
-
Psychologists, especially in the field of therapeutic support
These professions remain difficult to obtain, have high competitive thresholds, however, according to the official, they are crucial for the post -war reconstruction of Ukraine.
The second important direction is the infrastructure:
-
Engineering Specialties including Mechanics, Energy, Road Transport
-
Architecture and construction
-
Aviation and drone engineering that becomes more relevant in the conditions of war
To motivate entrants to choose these industries, the Ministry of Education and Science increases the number of budgetary places and expands grant support programs for contractors.
Separately, Vinnytsky drew attention to the decline of interest in the fundamental sciences:
"Unfortunately, we see a very low level of interest in basic specialties as physics, chemistry, biology, geodesy and ecology," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
The Ministry of Education and Science calls for entrants not only for popularity or fashion, but also for the real needs of the country. The election of a socially significant profession is a contribution to the sustainability, safety and restoration of the state.
