On February 19, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court (VAKS) approved the Agreements for the Agreement for Seven Persons who caused state grain harvesting enterprises in the amount of UAH 95 million. All the accused, including former directors and heads of private enterprises, received conditional punishments provided certain obligations, such as the return of assets and depositing funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Among the accused are the former directors of Novoprovsky KHP, Nizhyn Combine Bakery, Barvinkivskyi CCP and heads of other enterprises. They organized schemes that allowed them to receive illegal profits through the creation of artificial debt and transferring funds to controlled companies. Some of the accused are released from serving the basic punishment with the test and are obliged to compensate for the damage caused.
The WACS has decided that the accused would transfer several real estate to the state, including a water supply complex and non -residential premises in Kharkiv region, as well as write off debts worth over UAH 31 million. In addition, the defendants are obliged to make about 5 million hryvnias in support of the Ukrainian army.
This decision was the result of an investigation that has been going on for several years and has been concerning a serious corruption scandal that touched by state grain harvesting enterprises and related private firms. According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), for the period 2011-2017, funds for a total amount of UAH 157 million were stolen.
