Weather for the second half of August

At the end of summer, Ukraine will experience increased precipitation, especially in the third decade of August. This was reported by Natalia Ptukha, a forecaster at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

According to Ptukha, precipitation will increase in August, and by the end of the month, rains will become more frequent. This is especially true in the last ten days of summer, when the weather will be more rainy.

During the current week, dry weather will prevail in Ukraine due to the anticyclone stretching from Scandinavia to the Black Sea. Only in some regions, where the anticyclone will not have a significant impact, slight rains are possible. In particular, on August 13-14, rains are expected in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, and on August 15-16 - in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia.

Weather forecast for the coming days:

  • Temperature: At night, the temperature will drop to +10°…+16°, during the day the thermometer will show +20°…+27°. In the southern regions and Transcarpathia, the temperature will be higher at night, from +13° to +18°, and during the day - from +25° to +31°. On the sea coast, the temperature will reach +31° during the day.
  • Wind: Northwest wind is expected at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

Overall, this week promises to be calm, with moderate temperature fluctuations. However, by the end of August, Ukrainians can expect increased precipitation, which will bring with it a change in weather conditions.
