Today the weather in Ukraine will be unstable. Although the air temperature will remain comfortable, most regions will be under the influence of atmospheric fronts, which will bring precipitation and gusts of wind.
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
According to meteorologists, precipitation will cover almost the entire territory of the country at night. The most intense showers are expected in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia, where heavy rains are possible. During the day, rains will stop in most of the territory, but local precipitation is still possible in the northern regions.
The temperature background will remain quite high. At night, the temperature will fluctuate within +4…+9 degrees, and during the day the air will warm up to +14…+19 degrees. It will be cooler only on the coast of the Black and Azov Seas - +9…+14 degrees are expected there.
In the Carpathian region, nighttime temperatures will reach +1...+6 degrees, and during the day the air will warm up to +13 degrees.
Strong winds and avalanche danger
Forecasters warn of increasing wind speeds. Its speed will be 7-12 meters per second, and gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second are possible in the Carpathians, as well as in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.
In addition, significant avalanche danger (level 3) will remain in the highlands of Ivano-Frankivsk region and in eastern Transcarpathia. Travelers and tourists are advised to refrain from going to the mountains.
Weather in Kyiv and the region
Cloudy weather with clearings is forecast in the capital and Kyiv region. Moderate rain is expected at night, and slight precipitation is possible during the day.
In Kyiv, the air temperature at night will be +7…+9 degrees, and during the day it will rise to +15…+17 degrees.
In the Kyiv region, the night temperature is forecast at +4…+9 degrees, during the day – +14…+19 degrees.
The wind in the region will be southwest, 7-12 meters per second, with gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second in places during the day.
