Forecasters warn that a heat wave of up to +35 is coming to Ukraine

Ukraine will again be hit by a heat wave - starting July 3, the temperature in many regions will increase significantly, and the peak will fall on July 3 to 5. According to weather forecasters, on these days the thermometer will show +32…+35°C.

This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko. According to her forecasts, the hottest weather will be in the southern, central and southwestern regions. In particular, we are talking about Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia regions, as well as Transcarpathia, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions.

As of July 1, the weather remains moderate. The air temperature fluctuates within +20…+28°C. Short-term rains are possible in the northeast of the country. In Kyiv, up to +22°C is expected this afternoon, no precipitation is forecast, the wind is northwesterly, gusty.

However, on July 3, the capital will also be affected by the heat. According to Natalka Didenko, July 4 will be especially hot, and on July 5-6, the temperature will drop slightly, but not for long. From July 7, a new rise in temperatures is predicted, and only from July 9 it will become slightly cooler.

Forecasters warn: the heat can be dangerous, especially for children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses. Doctors recommend:

  • do not stay in the sun for a long time;

  • wear light-colored, lightweight clothing;

  • drink enough water;

  • avoid staying in closed, stuffy rooms;

  • Do not leave children and animals in cars.

Experts emphasize that such heat waves are becoming more frequent, which is associated with global climate change. Therefore, Ukrainians are advised to monitor forecasts more closely and adapt to new weather realities.
