October 2024 in Ukraine will be warmer than usual, as indicated by the forecast of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. According to forecasters, the average air temperature in the country will exceed long-term indicators by 1-1.5 degrees.
Air temperature
The average temperature across the country is expected to be between +7 and +13°C, which is 1-1.5°C above normal for this period. This indicates that warm conditions will persist, particularly at the beginning of the month, which is not typical for October.
As for precipitation, the monthly amount is forecast to be within normal limits: from 31 to 67 mm, and in the Carpathian region higher figures are possible - up to 101 mm. This indicates that despite the warm weather, significant deviations from the norm in the amount of precipitation are not expected.
Transition to autumn
At the end of September, a change in weather conditions is expected in the Kyiv region and other northern regions, which will cause a gradual decrease in temperature. According to weather forecaster Natalia Ptukha, temperatures, which currently reach +20°…+25°C, will gradually decrease to +15°…+20°C. Also, over the weekend, an increase in the activity of atmospheric fronts is possible, which will bring coolness from the northwest.
