On Monday, February 16, a cold wave will continue in Ukraine. The air temperature will drop even more, and positive indicators will remain mainly in the east and southeast of the country.
Precipitation is forecast in most regions. Snow, sleet, and light rain are expected throughout the territory, except for the southern regions. The weather will be mostly cloudy.
Forecasters predict cloudy weather and light snow in the capital. In Kyiv, the air temperature will drop to minus 8 degrees at night, and around minus 6 during the day.
Frosty weather will persist in the west of the country. In Lviv, minus 10 is expected at night, minus 5 during the day, and light snow is also possible. In Lutsk, it will get colder at night to minus 15, during the day it will be about minus 5. In Rivne, minus 13 is forecast at night, and minus 5 during the day. In Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi, the night temperature will be about minus 10, during the day - up to minus 5 degrees. All these regions will be covered with cloudiness and light snow.
It will be warmer in Transcarpathia. In Uzhhorod, minus 3 is expected at night, and during the day the air will warm up to plus 4 degrees without significant precipitation.
Snow is also forecast in the central regions. In Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr, it will be about minus 10 at night, and minus 5 during the day. In Cherkasy, the temperature will be minus 7 at night and minus 5 during the day. In Kropyvnytskyi and Poltava, the temperature will remain above zero: from 0 to plus 2 degrees with light rain.
In the south of the country, the weather will be milder. In Odessa, minus 5 is expected at night, plus 1 during the day. In Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhia, the temperature will range from 0 at night to plus 5 degrees during the day, without significant precipitation.
In eastern Ukraine, plus temperatures will prevail. In Kharkiv, it will be around 0 at night, up to plus 7 during the day with light rain. In Dnipro, it will be up to plus 2 during the day. In Sumy, wet snow with rain is possible, the temperature will be from minus 1 at night to plus 1 during the day.
The warmest temperatures will be in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In Kramatorsk, the forecast is for plus 6 degrees at night, up to plus 10 degrees during the day. In Severodonetsk, it will be around plus 6 degrees at night, up to plus 8 degrees during the day.
Warm and humid weather is also expected in Crimea. In Simferopol, light rain and temperatures from plus 3 to plus 9 degrees are forecast.
Thus, on February 16, most of Ukraine will remain under the influence of a cold air mass with snow and sub-zero temperatures, while the east and south will maintain relatively warm weather.
