Weather in Ukraine on January 19: no precipitation and with night frosts

At the beginning of the new working week, on Monday, January 19, weather conditions in Ukraine will not change significantly. Frosty weather will persist throughout the country both at night and during the day. Almost no precipitation is expected - light snow is possible only in Crimea. Dry weather and cloudiness with clearings are forecast for the rest of the territory.

According to weather forecasters, the capital of Ukraine will be cloudy with clearings during the day. At night, the air temperature will drop to -21°, and during the day it is expected to be around -10°.

Severe frost will persist in the western regions. In Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi, night temperatures are forecast to reach -20°, during the day the temperature will fluctuate within -7°…-9°. The coldest nights will be in Rivne and Zhytomyr regions, where thermometers can drop to -23°.

In the central regions of Ukraine, in particular in Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kropyvnytskyi and Poltava, the night temperature will reach -20°, and during the day the air will warm up to -9°. Similar indicators are predicted in Chernihiv and Sumy.

In the east of the country, the weather will remain frosty, but somewhat milder. In Kharkiv, night temperatures are expected to reach -18°, and daytime temperatures are around -9°. In Dnipro, night temperatures will reach -20°, daytime temperatures are around -8°. In Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk, cloudy weather is forecast with night temperatures of -10°…-11° and daytime temperatures around -5°.

The southern regions will be under the influence of a relatively milder air mass. In Odessa, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia, the temperature will drop to -12° at night, and -6° to -4° during the day. In Crimea, in particular, in Simferopol, it will be cloudy, with light snow possible in places. The air temperature there will range from -12° at night to -4° during the day.

Forecasters warn that due to persistent frost, drivers and pedestrians should be especially careful, and also remind of the need to follow safety rules during low temperatures.
