Today, the first day of the second summer month will greet Ukrainians with stable, dry and comfortable weather. According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, no significant precipitation is expected, except for the northeastern regions, where short-term rains are possible.
The temperature regime will remain within the normal range for mid-summer. At night, forecasters predict +10…+15°C, and in the south of the country the air will not drop below +18°C. During the day, the thermometer will show +18…+23°C, and the warmest will traditionally be in the southern regions and Transcarpathia — up to +27°C.
The Carpathians will welcome tourists with cooler weather: +5…+10°C at night, +14…+19°C during the day. Despite the lower temperatures, almost no rain is forecast in the mountains, so the day will be ideal for hiking and outdoor recreation.
A northwest wind of 7–12 m/s is expected throughout Ukraine. Gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are possible in the northeast, so you should be careful, especially when in open areas or near old trees.
Meteorologists warn that a wave of real summer heat will hit the country from the second half of the week. So July 1 will be a kind of respite before the temperatures rise.
