Earlier this week, a significant situation arose in Ukraine related to MP Mykola Tyshchenko, who is suspected of a serious offense. The Prosecutor General's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation refused to disclose details regarding the cash seized during searches of the MP.
The State Bureau of Investigation added that they cannot disclose information from a pre-trial investigation without the written permission of the investigator or prosecutor.
"That's why I said yesterday: leave me my money, I have nothing to live on!.. I earned it for 30 years, with these hands! And I didn't take anything from anyone, and I'm proud of that, and my father and my family are proud of that," the People's Deputy said emotionally.
It is currently unknown how much money investigators seized from Tyshchenko's house and whether they were arrested. According to the e-declaration for 2023, People's Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko indicated 5.2 million UAH, $45 thousand, and 22 thousand euros in cash. The politician had 75 thousand UAH and $1.5 thousand in bank accounts.
In February 2024, Tyshchenko declared UAH 12.63 million, which he received from his ex-wife Alla Baranovskaya as a gift.
After this court, Tyshchenko was spotted at the five-star Hyatt Hotel in Kyiv. He was not given the bracelet until 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, as the procedure for issuing the restraining order took up time during which Tyshchenko could have moved around the city.
On June 20, a group of people in balaclavas and camouflage attacked former Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Dmytro Pavlov, known by the call sign “Son,” in the center of Dnipro. The incident occurred after an argument between Pavlov and Tyshchenko and his team over their walking around the city with weapons and in military uniform. A police officer from Kyiv also participated in the fight, who was later fired.
The State Bureau of Investigation conducted a search of Tyshchenko's premises and charged him with unlawful deprivation of liberty (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). During the presentation of the charge, Tyshchenko broke his phone, but the SBI assured that this would not prevent the investigation from obtaining the necessary information. Another person who participated in the illegal actions was also charged under Part 2 of Article 127 and Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The name of this person is not disclosed.
Earlier, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that everyone involved in the incident should be punished, regardless of their positions or connections. And the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, who is Tyshchenko's godfather, called the deputy's behavior "absolutely shameful.".
