Failure of a citizen liable for military service to appear at the territorial recruitment center (TCK) is classified as an administrative offense, and the penalty for this is a fine. Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan spoke about the procedure and sanctions in an article on the "Yuristy.UA" portal.
According to the lawyer, those liable for military service are obliged to appear at the CCC upon summons, which may come, in particular, in the form of a summons. The reasons for the summons may be different: clarification of information in the military record, passing a military medical commission, etc. If a citizen ignores the summons and does not appear, he is subject to administrative liability under Article 210-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. The amount of the fine, Ayvazyan noted, is from 17 thousand to 25,500 hryvnias.
The lawyer also noted that in case of failure to comply with the administrative penalty, the amount of the fine may be increased, the citizen may be put on the wanted list, and other measures provided for by law may be applied. Such measures are aimed at ensuring the fulfillment of the duties assigned to those liable for military service during martial law and mobilization measures.
