A new phase of mobilization has begun in Ukraine, which includes sending out summonses via Ukrposhta . MP Ihor Fris, a member of the Servant of the People political party, warned of potential problems that could arise for those liable for military service due to improper execution of these summonses.
On the air of the TV channel "Novyny.Live", Fris noted that if the postal services record that a person does not live at the specified address, this can lead to serious consequences. For example, enforcement proceedings may be opened, and the accounts and real estate of individuals may be arrested.
Fries also warned that the system of sending subpoenas through the mail could face enormous difficulties. Incorrectly executed or improperly delivered subpoenas could cause a significant collapse, creating obligations to the state for individuals who were not even informed about it.
According to Ukrainian Military Pages, Ukrposhta has received about 6,000 summonses for those liable for military service. Currently, the first 6,000 summonses have been sent out without the participation of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs). The summonses, generated by the Register of Conscripts and signed by electronic signatures of the heads of the TCCs, have a special QR code and are sent by registered mail.
Conscripts were given 14 days to report to the CCC after receiving the summons. It was noted that the summons will be considered duly served even if the addressee is unable to receive it for any reason.
