Ukrainian military experts see the term non-nuclear deterrence, which has become part of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s “victory plan,” as the creation of a ballistic missile capability, a Ukrainian military source told The Times.
Zelenskyy is known to have focused on developing long-range strike capabilities, including the introduction of ballistic missiles and drones capable of hitting targets at significant distances. This could include not only increased supplies of such weapons from allies, but also support for the development of domestic production.
It is important to note that the new weapons planned to be developed will not be subject to restrictions imposed by Western countries. Such changes will allow Ukraine to significantly strengthen its military capabilities.
Other analysts and military sources interviewed by the publication also believe that the package of measures could include the development of ballistic missiles and other measures aimed at increasing defense capabilities. These measures include expanding NATO infrastructure in Ukraine and increasing the number of battle-hardened Ukrainian troops.
