There are less than two weeks left until Easter 2025, and although accurate forecasts for the holiday period are still lacking, Ukrainian weather forecasters expect gradual warming in the second half of April. Forecaster Natalia Ptukha told Channel 24 about this.
According to her, at the moment, experts can only talk about a short-term forecast. A stable warm spring is not yet in sight: cold weather is predicted in Ukraine for the coming days — in particular, for Palm Sunday, which falls on April 13. This applies to both night and daytime temperatures.
"We will count on the temperature to rise at least a little, but this still needs to be monitored and clarified," said Natalia Ptukha, speaking about the likely warming on the eve of Easter.
Although some Ukrainians still remember the hot Easter of 2024, when thermometers in some regions rose to +25°C, meteorologists cannot promise a repeat of such a spring idyll. According to Ptukha, a certain "temperature readjustment" is possible after April 14, but only time will tell how comfortable the weather will be on Easter Day.
It is expected that even if warming begins, it will be gradual, without sharp jumps. Ukrainians are advised not to plan outdoor celebrations without carefully monitoring the updated forecasts.
