In 2025, the Ukrainian language will be one of the mandatory subjects on the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). This decision was confirmed by the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment (UCEA). The Ukrainian language test will consist of 30 tasks, the content of which will correspond to the Ukrainian language external assessment program.
The tasks on the test will be of different forms: participants will have to choose one correct answer from several options or establish a correspondence between logical pairs. In general, the Ukrainian language test will consist of the following types of tasks:
- 10 tasks with a choice of one correct answer from four options.
- 15 tasks with a choice of one correct answer from five options.
- 5 matching tasks (logical pairs).
The grade for completing tasks in the Ukrainian language will be calculated according to the external assessment scheme, i.e. 1 test point for each correct answer and correctly identified logical pair. The maximum number of points that can be obtained for the Ukrainian language test is 45.
The test results will be available to participants after the completion of the NMT, and using the test score conversion table, the scores for each subject will be converted into a rating scale from 100 to 200 points.
