Despite the war, the agricultural land market in Ukraine continues to develop. The most expensive plots are in the west of the country, and the highest demand is in the center. Such data indicate a shift in investor interest to safer regions.
According to the latest estimates, the most expensive agricultural land is currently in Ivano-Frankivsk region: an average of 126.6 thousand UAH per hectare is asked there. In second place is Lviv region with an average price of 118.3 thousand UAH/hectare. The top three are closed by Kyiv region — 89.4 thousand UAH/hectare. Next is Ternopil region with a price of 86.9 thousand UAH per hectare.
However, in frontline regions, where there is a high risk of fighting, prices remain the lowest. Due to the security threat, buyers are in no hurry to invest in such areas.
However, high cost does not always indicate the most active demand. The largest number of land market deals are concluded in Poltava, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions. Here, farmers and agricultural companies are actively buying up land for agricultural production, investing in the long term.
Analysts note that current trends will continue. Western regions will remain the most attractive in terms of price, and demand will be concentrated in central Ukraine, where it is safer and more promising to develop an agricultural business.
