The White House has decided to temporarily suspend military aid to Ukraine in connection with a recent meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Trump administration in the Oval Office. According to unnamed officials, Washington is demanding a public apology from President Zelensky for his actions that caused a breakdown in relations between the two countries.
According to them, US President Donald Trump and his “senior aides” are seeking recognition from Zelensky – perhaps in the form of a public apology – before signing a mineral deal or discussing continued military aid.

The media also recalls that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was one of the officials who publicly called on Zelenskyy to apologize.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance believes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will eventually agree to participate in peace talks to end Russia's war in Ukraine, a statement made before the U.S. announced it would suspend military aid to Ukraine.
