Ukrainian social networks have become an arena for expressing public discontent and expressing criticism against the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commander of the "Khortytsia" group, General Yuriy Sodol.
Following Maryana Bezugla, the former head of the Odessa "Right Sector" Serhiy Sternenko spoke negatively about him.
“This appointment is a personnel disaster. It was difficult to imagine a worse candidate who would care about a soldier’s life. Previously, Sodol commanded the Marine Corps. No combat Marine would say a censorious word about him. There are many examples on the Internet when Sodol simply “grinded” the Marine Corps – from the tragedy with the 37th Marine Brigade to sending the Marines to the left bank without any support and protection,” Sternenko writes.
It should be noted that the area of responsibility of "Khortytsia" includes the Bakhmut and Kupyan directions. Sodol himself was appointed commander of "Khortytsia" a long time ago, at least in early April he was already in this position when he spoke in the Rada.
But the campaign against him has only just begun.
