In Ukraine, young men who have reached the age of 17 are required to register for the military. The registration procedure in territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC and SP) is not related to mobilization measures. This was told by the deputy head of the prize department of the procurement sector of the Kirovohrad regional TCC, Dmytro Sukhyi.
Who and when should register
Military registration is carried out every year from January to March. For this, 17-year-old youths should apply to the relevant TCC. Local self-government bodies, enterprises, institutions, organizations and educational institutions submit lists of citizens subject to registration to the TCC every year.
Why is this important?
According to Dmytro Sukhoi, taking into account allows you to determine:
- degree of suitability for military service;
- educational level, acquired specialty or profession;
- level of physical training;
- personal qualities of young men.
Before the age of 18, young people who do not register can receive an administrative fine. The amount of the fine is from 17 to 25.5 thousand hryvnias.
