In the coming days in Ukraine there will be poor magnetic activity. According to the NOAA Space weather forecasting, the geomagnetic situation will remain stable, without sharp jumps, but people can still feel affected.
Prediction for three days
-
May 25 (Saturday)-K-Index 1.6. The geomagnetic situation is calm.
-
May 26 (Sunday)-K-Index 2,67. Light activity, without influencing infrastructure.
-
May 27 (Monday)-K-Index 2,67. The magnetic field is stable, the storm is not projected.
Even with a "green" level of geomagnetic activity, people with chronic diseases or increased weather sensitivity can experience fatigue, headache or irritability.
What are magnetic storms?
A magnetic storm is a reaction of the Earth's magnetic field to solar activity. When the sun ejects a large number of charged particles, they reach the planet and change the parameters of the magnetosphere. These changes can cause interruptions in GPS, communication, satellites, and affect people's well -being.
The magnetic storm force is measured on a scale from 1 to 9-the so-called k-index. Values below 5 are considered safe and above are potentially dangerous.
How to protect yourself during magnetic activity?
Experts advise:
-
To adhere to the day mode - to get enough sleep, not to overload the body.
-
Avoid alcohol, caffeine and fatty foods - these foods load vessels.
-
Drink more water, if possible - light herbal teas.
-
Spend out in the open air, avoid direct sunlight.
-
Avoid conflicts and stress, maintain emotional balance.
-
To control chronic diseases, to have the necessary medicines at hand.
To maintain the tone in the morning will help a contrast shower, and in the evening - a warm bath for relaxation.
Although the closest magnetic storms are expected to be weak, even slight activity can affect those who are sensitive to changes in the environment. Keep calm, take care of yourself and follow the forecasts regularly.
