How to “reboot” the brain after intense mental activity

Intellectual work is depleted no less than physical. However, if the body is easy to give rest, just stopping, the brain often continues to "work in the background" even during weekends or vacations. To truly recover, a special approach to relaxation is required-one that really allows mentally restart.

Lifecoach Vitaliy Kursik explains that not all the usual holiday options are effective. Viewing serials, flipping the news tape or hanging on social networks often do not relieve tension, but only change the shape of the brain load.

What methods really work:

  1. Working with your hands
    physical activity, cleaning, washing dishes, drawing, molding or needlework help to "switch the gear" - the brain calms down when the motor skills.

  2. To afford nothing to
    just lie, look in the ceiling or watch nature without a phone, without books and planning. It is not laziness, but release of internal stress.

  3. Disable the analysis
    not to evaluate events or yourself, but to focus on breathing, sounds around, smells, light, colors. This is a kind of meditation in motion.

    to lose the information load.

  5. Hobbies without the benefit
    of admiration that have no purpose except joy. Puzzling, music, plant cultivation - everything that brings pleasure without results.

  6. Information silence
    one day without news, chats, chats and discussions allows you to regain your inner silence.

  7. Movement for pleasure
    not simulators or marathons, but pleasant activities: walks, dances, swimming - what charges the body and releases the mind.

What does not work is an attempt to "relax" with a glass of alcohol, in front of the TV or in the ribbon of social networks. These methods often only increase fatigue or lead to even more exhaustion.

The brain, like the body, needs rest. And the best thing you can do for yourself after hard mental work is to give it a full rest.
