Despite the war, Ukrainian legislation provides for a number of types of vacations for servicemen who guarantee them the right to rest, treat or resolve family affairs. Most of them are provided with the preservation of cash. The Ministry of Justice reports.
What vacations are allowed during martial law:

Annual basic leave
It is provided to all military except those who are undergoing basic service. Its duration depends on the service:

up to 10 years - 30 days;

10-15 years - 35 days;
-
15-20 years - 40 days;
-
For more than 20 years - 45 days.
The vacation days (up to 2 days one way) and holidays are not credited to the vacation. The vacation can be divided into two parts, but one of them should be at least 15 days. Not more than 30% of the personnel of the unit can be at the same time on vacation.
Annual additional leave
It is intended for those who serve at high risk, intense load or difficult natural conditions. Its duration is up to 15 calendar days.
Vacation due to illness or injury
It is provided on the basis of the conclusion of the VLK. The total duration is up to 12 months in a row. Travel time is not taken into account (up to 2 days one way).
Family leave
Provided without saving money. For example:

marriage - up to 10 days;

death or illness of relatives - up to 7 days;

natural disaster - up to 15 days;
-
Other exceptional circumstances - up to 3 days.
In general - no more than 15 days a year.
Additional leave for destroyed equipment
Provided for each destroyed unit of hostile equipment:

ship - 5 days;
-
aircraft - 5 days;
-
ZRK - 4 days.
Maximum - 15 days a year.
Vacation after being released from captivity
It is provided at the request of the military period of 90 days, is not subject to separation and is allowed only with the consent of the serviceman. It is not given to those who decide to be released immediately after returning from captivity.
A vacation for basic military service
It is provided 30 days a year, not taking into account travel time (up to 2 days each way).
These norms allow the military to at least partially restore strength without losing connection with families, and to provide minimal human conditions in a long war.
