In early December, the weather in Ukraine remains stable: dry, cool, and foggy. However, starting December 6, on St. Nicholas Day, the arrival of atmospheric fronts is predicted, which will bring precipitation, forecasters Natalka Didenko and Natalia Ptukha report.
Weather for December 4
According to Natalka Didenko, calm weather is expected in Ukraine today without significant precipitation. The only thing that will add moisture is fog, which will also worsen visibility. The temperature will remain unchanged:
- from -2°C to +4°C during the day;
- in Crimea up to +6°C…+10°C.
In Kyiv, the forecast is around zero.
What to expect on St. Nicholas Day?
Natalka Didenko emphasizes that atmospheric fronts will begin to arrive in Ukraine starting December 6. This will lead to the appearance of wet snow and rain on December 7 in most of the country, except for the southeast.
Natalia Ptukha from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center adds that significant snow cover is not yet predicted, but the next fronts may be more active. A cyclone is possible from December 8 to 9, and the second decade of the month promises to be more dynamic: short-term precipitation will be replaced by periods of cloudless weather.
