At the beginning of December, the weather in Ukraine remains stable: dry, cool and foggy. However, since December 6, on St. Nicholas Day, the arrival of atmospheric fronts that will bring precipitation is predicted, forecasters Natalka Didenko and Nataliya Ptukha report.
Weather for December 4
According to Natalka Didenko, calm weather without significant precipitation is expected in Ukraine today. The only thing that will add moisture is fog, which will also reduce visibility. The temperature will remain unchanged:
- from -2°C to +4°C during the day;
- in the Crimea up to +6°C...+10°C.
In Kyiv, close to zero is forecast.
What to expect on Saint Nicholas Day?
Natalka Didenko emphasizes that atmospheric fronts will begin arriving in Ukraine from December 6. This will lead to sleet and rain on December 7 across most of the country except the southeast.
Nataliya Ptuha from the UkrHydromet Center adds that significant snow cover is not yet forecast, but the next fronts may be more active. From December 8 to 9, a cyclone is possible, and the second decade of the month promises to be more dynamic: short-term precipitation will be replaced by periods of cloudless weather.
