The weather forecast for January 4 in Ukraine predicts contrasting conditions: warm weather and thaw are expected in some regions, frost and snow in others. Forecasters from the UkrHydromet Center shared the following forecasts:
East and Southeast:
- Moderate rain is expected in Transcarpathia and the southeastern part.
- Snow and sleet are forecast in the northeastern part and in the Carpathians.
- Only in the southern part of the country during the day without precipitation.
- At night and in the morning, ice is possible on the roads in the northern and northeastern parts.
Air temperature:
- It will be 1-6° warm at night in most regions.
- In the Kharkiv, Poltava and Kyiv regions, it will be from 2° of heat to 3° of frost.
- During the day, the temperature will be +3-8°, in the south of the country - 7-12° of heat.
Forecast for Kyiv:
- It will be cloudy in Kyiv on January 4, a little sleet with transition to rain is likely.
- Ice is possible on the roads at night and in the morning.
- The temperature at night is 0-2° warm, during the day it is about +5°.
- The speed of the southwest wind is 5-10 m/s.
Kyiv region:
- +2..-3° at night, 3-8° during the day.
