Ukrainian Olympic champion Yaroslava Maguchih officially became the world record holder in high jump. The International Federation of Athletics confirmed her triumphant jump at the competition in Paris, where the athlete reached a height of 2.10 meters.
On July 7, 2024, at the Meeting de Paris tournament, which is part of the Diamond League, Maguchih made an impressive jump, which was not only a personal achievement, but also surpassed the 37-year-old world record set by the Bulgarian athlete Stefka Kostadinova. This new record marks an important milestone in the history of athletics, because Maguchih managed to reach a height that for a long time remained unattainable for many female athletes.
No less impressive were the results of Maguchich at the Olympic Games in Paris, where she won a gold medal, overcoming a height of two meters. Her colleague, Iryna Gerashchenko, also demonstrated an excellent result, winning a bronze medal with a jump of 1.95 meters. These achievements confirm not only Yaroslava's individual talent, but also the power of Ukrainian athletics on the world stage.
Having become a world record holder, Yaroslava Maguchih received recognition at the international level. Her success not only inspires a new generation of athletes, but also becomes a symbol of the struggle and strength of the Ukrainian people in difficult times. Maguchih continues to work towards her goals and strive for new achievements, hoping that her example will inspire others to achieve great victories.
