NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made an important statement regarding the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing Ukraine's right to strike on Russian territory. He emphasized that more and more allies support this position, given Russia's constant aggressive actions.
He stated this in Prague, where the NATO ministerial meeting is taking place.
"Ukraine has the right to self-defense, and this includes strikes on targets on the territory of Russia. It becomes even more urgent, against the background of the opening of a new front."
Stoltenberg emphasized that his belief is related to the fact that the strikes of the Armed Forces against Russia are of a defensive nature.
"Ukraine must have the right to retaliate in order to defend itself," the Secretary General emphasized, separately stressing that Ukraine must use the latest NATO weapons for effective defense.
He also reminded that more and more NATO member states are granting permission to Ukraine to use their weapons, but he did not say what conditions are being put forward for the Armed Forces.
"We expect that this (strike on Russia, - Ed.) will be carried out responsibly," Stoltenberg concluded.
