Presidential Head of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and US Presidential Advisor Michael Voltz held an important telephone conversation, during which they discussed the date and place of negotiations on peace, said Advisor to the President of Ukraine Dmitry Lytvyn.
This information was also confirmed by Michael Voltz on Fox & Friends, but he did not specify who he spoke with the Ukrainian government. In his statement, the Voltz noted that peace negotiations are moving in a positive direction, and both sides will be actively involved in this process. He stressed that the negotiations will be difficult and will need "shuttle diplomacy". The Voltz also noted that it was not only about the date and place of negotiations, but also about the measures to strengthen the trust that will be transferred to the Russians.
Dmitry Lytvyn confirmed that Voltz was talking to Andriy Yermak, and Yermak himself later published a post on his Telegram page, where he told about the content of the conversation. He noted that the parties discussed further steps towards a fair and long peace, as well as security issues and reconciliation of positions in bilateral relations between Ukraine and the US. Yermak also reported that they agreed to meet the Ukrainian and American teams in the near future.
This confirms the growing activity of diplomatic efforts to resolve conflict and potential negotiations that can be an important step in finding ways to end the war.
